Installation Instruction

Most customers install in ~3 minutes. Boiling water method works great

What you need:

  • Boiling water (212°F / 100°C) or a 1500W heat gun (best fit)

  • High elevation: use a heat gun (boiling water may not get hot enough)

Step 1 (Optional) — Customize the feel

  • Use rings/foam tape for your knob feel

  • Install on top 5 in / 13 cm only

  • Test with gloves before shrinking

Step 2 — Slide & align

  • Slide GripRush sleeve onto the stick

  • Keep holes/vents below the top ring/foam knob

Step 3 — Shrink & set

Option A: Boiling water

  • Hold stick over sink, grip pointing down

  • Pour boiling water into/over sleeve until tight

  • Rinse cold to set, then trim excess with sharp scissors

Option B: Heat gun (recommended / high elevation)

  • Stand stick upright, rotate constantly

  • Heat from ~6 in / 15 cm away

  • Start bottom → work up slowly

  • Don’t overheat, then trim excess

Safety: Use caution with heat/boiling water. Install at your own risk.

In case if your grip is too loose, we would advise you to use heat gun for second application. It has higher temperature and grip should shrink as much as it can and then there must be no problems. However, please, watch the installation video and read the instruction carefully!

It is also possible to apply Griprush over already existing tape job, with doing so Griprush will shrink and fit in form of your old tape job, this is preferred way if you don’t want to change the feeling you are already familiar with.

Griprush should last till your stick breaks, but be aware that if you step on it with skate, it may be cut and this therefore might lead to the fact that Griprush fails to last that long.

Griprush lasts only till stick brakes, it cannot be taken off and used again.



It depends on how big is the knob of the stick, if it is bigger than 4.2CM in diameter you will not be able to use it over the knob, however still the grip can be installed on the stick part, afterwards applying over it the knob with tape.
